Minted in 22-karat gold , this piece represents the collector's version of the celebrated American Eagle Gold Bullion . Its design has been updated since 2021 with a new obverse and a completely redesigned reverse to commemorate the program's 35th anniversary.
Obverse : Designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens , it depicts Liberty with flowing hair, carrying a torch and an olive branch. The design incorporates historical elements such as the Capitol, stars, and sun rays.
Reverse : A stunning depiction of an eagle , designed by Jennie Norris and sculpted by Renata Gordon , both artists at the Mint. Inscriptions include:
