The protagonist of this broadcast is the Thanatotheristes degrootorum, known as the “Reaper of Death”, the oldest tyrannosaur discovered in Canada and officially described in 2020. Measuring up to 10 meters long and weighing 2,5 tons, this Late Cretaceous predator inhabited the Alberta region, where fossils found in the Foremost Formation allowed for its scientific classification.
